My name is Zach Venice and I have worked in media for over two decades. Photography has been the main outlet for my creativity throughout those years. Taking photos appeals to me for several reasons. One, it offers the ability to freeze a moment in time and reflect on my surrounding world in fine detail. Two, it challenges me to get off my ass and interact with different people and environments. Three, it pays my bills. I have been fortunate enough to utilize photography as my livelihood. Most of this has come by way of documenting feminine beauty, which surprisingly, many people are drawn to and willing to pay for. I find it fulfilling to photograph a diverse range of subjects, but my nature often compels me in the direction of attractive females. So it goes.
Aside from this proclivity, I am interested in making images that tell stories, ask questions, reveal authenticity, or are simply fun to look at. My eyes hunt for, not only the beauty, but also the humor which underscores our often absurd reality.
There truly aren't any rules when it comes to art, besides the subjective ones we voluntarily impose. And who wants more rules? I do not seek meaning in art, I only use it as fuel to amplify my emotions and inspire even further creativity. One of my mantras is not to take art so seriously. The experience is more significant than the artwork.
